Mission Statement: To enhance the quality of life for the older persons of Shawnee County by providing direct services to individuals and supporting the development of systems that deliver a full range of services to senior citizens and disabled adults.

Hours: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday – Friday


  • Transportation to medical appointments, shopping, recreation and social services
  • Health Department: Foot Care Clinic
  • Harvesters Host Site
  • Congregate meals:  Monday – Friday (Meals on Wheels)
  • Health and Social Services: informational meetings on a variety of topics important to senior citizens
  • Nutritional BINGO – win food and personal hygiene prizes
  • Washburn University School of Nursing Health Checks and Medication Reviews and chair exercise workouts
  • Arthritis exercise classes

Eligibility: Services are available to all citizens age 60 and over, spouses of persons 60 and over, and disabled adults
