Mission Statement: The League of Women Voters of Topeka Shawnee County is a non-partisan, multi-issue, political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The league does not support candidates or parties.

Hours: The league meets the first Tuesday of each month usually at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library at 11:30 am for lunch and a speaker at noon.  See lwvtsc.org for details.  Meeting is open to the public.

  • We encourage individual participation in the political process
  • We inform through in-depth, objective study
  • We monitor local, state and national government bodies and activities
  • We register voters
  • We sponsor candidate debates and public issue forums

Eligibility: Open to men and women 18 years and over

Fees: $55 per individual, $75 per household, $85 sustaining, $25 per student.  Non-members can attend at any time.
